Sports events affected around the globe due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Today in this blog I am going to share with you the list of sporting events which are either postponed or cancelled for an undefined period and guess the reason... 

yeah!!!

Probably you are right, its the deadly COVID-19

Which is spreading faster than we blink. so without wasting any time, let's get into it.

So, there have been some terrible things going on right now in the world which is affecting us in one way or the other,  juggling our daily life starting from the morning coffee to that perfect sleep at night.

This lockdown is keeping us away from going to our favourite places or maybe from playing our favourite sports we all love to play, and now we can just imagine ourselves wandering or playing in our minds.

Now let me tell you this not only us but our favourite sportsperson also are going through the same, they are also sitting in their houses and dreaming to go out there and do what they do the best PLAY! but unfortunately, they can not because of this lockdown.

There are sports events getting cancelled all around the globe!!!

Following is the list of sports events affected by COVID-19 which have shown its disastrous play and stopped everyone from playing.

Cricket!

One of the most celebrated and appreciated sports in India is cricket. On March 13, the BCCI decided to call off the IPL which was scheduled on March 29 and postponed it until April 15.
Another cricket tournament which was scheduled between India and SA is now called off on the same day.


Football!

Many football tournaments are now cancelled due to corona virus around the world like,

  • In England, all the football will end immediately.
  • In Japan, Japan's J league is dated forward until May.
  • In Spain, all football in Spain is on hold it includes its La Liga. and many more...


There are some players tested positive for COVID-19, like Marouane Fellaini a Belgian footballer plays for a Chinese club is tested positive and there are more cases like this.

MotoGP!


First four races of MotoGP Argentina has been postponed due to COVID-19 and rescheduled to November 20-22, many more races are cancelled around the world like in Qatar, Thailand and USA.

  • Qatar Grand Prix cancelled in Doha and shifted to October 4.
  • Thailand GP postponed to Oct. 4.
  • Americas Gp in texas planned on April 5 now will be shifted to Nov. 15.


Basketball!

Many basketball events and matches are being suspended or postponed,

  • NBA is cancelled for now which was supposed to start from March 11.
  • In India 3x3 Olympic qualifying tournament is now postponed which was going to tale place in Bangaluru from March 18.
  • Many like this are suspended around the world in countries like Italy, China, Australia, Africa, Russia. 


So as you have seen some of the top events getting suspended around the world there are more like them.
  • Chess
  • Badminton
  • Boxing
  • Cycling
  • Marathon
  • Golf
  • Hokey
  • Handball
  • Judo. 
 And many more to join the list as we read!!!
